10/15/10 Seriouseats.com loves the #13 sandwich
Via Seriouseats.com... "The #13 Hot Press ($8) at Park Slope's Press 195 is a simple enough caprese sandwich with fresh mozzarella, tomato, and basil—simple, but there's nothing wrong with simple. The brittle outside crust and melted mozzarella make it every inch a joy..."

10/29/10 Yahoo! names Press 195 Park Slope top 5 place to eat along marathon route
Hey Now! Great write up in Yahoo! yesterday. We were named top 5 places to eat along the NYC marathon route. They said: "Press 195 sits at about mile five of the Marathon. This restaurant is a favorite for sandwiches with the native New Yorkers. The sandwiches are a work of art at the 195, their grilled lemon marinade chicken with spinach and Fontina cheese is only $8.75. The majority of the sandwiches are under ten dollars. Press 195 has a wine bar, opens at 11:30 a.m. daily and does not take reservation. New Yorkers known where the real good food is and this place is one of them!"

NY POST LOVES THE KNISH SANDWICH

Last week we were featured in the daily paper, New York Post, for our Knish sandwiches. “The knish’s crispy edges yield to a pleasingly soft center and, when washed down with one of Press 195’s many microbrews, presents a perfect pub-style meal.” A great article indeed! Click here to read it.
Press 195 Summer 2010 News
Hey Now! Greetings from a steamy Bayside Monday night. Welcome to all the new members of the Press 195 fan group. We are glad to have you! And, click here to access our Fan page on Facebook and become a member, if not one already! We update this section more frequently.
It’s been awhile since our last correspondence and much has been going on in the Press 195 camp. First and foremost, the biggest news to date is the unveiling of store 3! Yes, we are excited to announce that very shortly the doors to our third Press 195 location will be opening in Rockville Centre, Long Island!! We are very excited to venture out East and rock the Long Island world with what will soon to become the best place on the island to grab a sandwich. We are hoping for a mid-fall opening and will keep everybody in the loop thru email or Facebook fan page updates.
In other news, we just finished filming an episode of Food Paradise, a Chinese-English food travel show that will air December 11, 2010 on the NTD TV Network. The NTD is the largest Chinese-English network across the world, received by 200 million households. In the NYC area the channel can be found on Time Warner 589.
Finally, last week we were featured in the daily paper, New York Post, for our Knish sandwiches in the New York Post. “The knish’s crispy edges yield to a pleasingly soft center and, when washed down with one of Press 195’s many microbrews, presents a perfect pub-style meal.” A great article indeed! Store wise, our great summer continues as there is nothing finer than sitting in one of our backyards with a great sandwich and a fine microbrew. Over in the Bayside store, we have had much success with the limited releases, Southampton Keller Pils and Coney Island Luna Lager. Both beers have been in great demand and have proved worthy additions to the tap lines. The Park Slope taps currently feature the almighty Lagunitas IPA and upstate NY’s favorite Ommegang Witte among others. C’mon down and try one, and if uncertain always feel free to ask for a sample!
Well we hope you enjoy the remaining weeks of the summer and hope the great weather continues. We look forward to your next visit to our Bayside or Park Slope store and are excited to continue to update you on the forthcoming Rockville Centre store grand opening.
Warm regards,
Brian, Chris and Jimmy

Fabulous Fifth Avenue Street Fair

Spring is here and that means the annual 5th Avenue street fair!
Come join Press 195 for a great day of food, drink, fun, friends and music! Yes, music! This year we are bringing back the old vibe and setting up the turntables for a mix of great tunes from the one and only Dj's Master D and Jake of old school Electrik Soul fame! We will be playing classic house, techno, reggae, funk and whatever else is needed to make it a great day!
We will have beer and food specials outside with the full menu available in the store and our backyard garden. This year we will be pouring Laguntas IPA and Ommegang Witte beer with a wide range of bottles as well. Also, as always, we will have tables and chairs set up on the street for your convenience.
This is our 9th year of participation and this event is always a blast. It now runs approximately 20 blocks so there is much to do for everyone, even kids!
We look forward to seeing everybody at the fest!

More blogging and two more great reviews --both from The Feisty Foodie!

This past month we received two great reviews from the Feisty Foodie blog. The first review the writer states "ll say it again: OH MY STARS THAT WAS GOOD. I would order this sandwich again and again. If it were legal, I would marry it." Click here to read the article...
In the second review, which was 6 days later, the author states "I was amazed at how good it tasted; I hadn’t even noticed it on the menu but was super glad I’d asked some other people to help me pick. But DAMN that was GOOD." And she also writes, "I fully intend to continue to visit Press 195 and eat my way through the entire menu!" To read the entire article, click here.
Blogs love us....via Love, Life and Lollipops on April 8 2010

I think everyone in Brooklyn has a blog, which is great if we keep getting these awesome reviews. Via the very original blog "Love, life and lollipops" from April 8, 2010 comes a short, great review of our Brooklyn location. The author writes, "I ordered a veggie knish (sans the mozzerella which I firmly believe doesn’t need it for vegans or others). It’s a square knish cut in half and filled with roasted veggies then closed up and pressed between a panini press! Yum!"

New York Magazine's Grub Street Daily 1/22/2010
The Famous New York Magazine's daily food digest, Grubstreet Daily, featured Press 195 and Crossroads Brewing company. The article stated "With camera-toting bloggers and an ever-churning gossip mill, it’s rare that any morsel of fresh intelligence isn’t instantly chewed up and spat onto the Internet. But unless you frequent Park Slope sandwich shop Press 195, you likely missed the recent unveiling of New York State’s newest brewery."
